Tim Welu – Chief Executive Officer
Tim co-founded Paisley in 1995 with his wife Stacey Paisley Welu. Under his leadership, Paisley has become a recognized market leader in business accountability software. Leading the company since its inception, Tim's tenure as Paisley CEO, has included four appearances on Inc. Magazine's list of the fastest growing private companies in the United States. Tim is a recognized expert in compliance and has been widely quoted in industry publications, including BusinessWeek, Business Finance, PC Magazine and Risk Magazine. In addition, Tim is a frequent speaker at industry conferences on the topic of governance, risk and compliance. Recently he co-authored a book, Inside the Minds: Managing For Profits, a collection of essays from business thought leaders. Prior to forming Paisley, Tim was in sales and marketing with Hormel Foods in Austin, Minnesota. Tim holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Iowa.
Stacey Paisley Welu, CISA, CISM, CLP – President
Stacey, co-founder of Paisley, is the company's technical expert. Through her guidance and leadership the company has flourished. A Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) and Certified Lotus Professional (CLP), Stacey contributes over 15 years of widely varied internal and external audit experience to the founding team. Before Paisley, Stacey worked for three well-known Minnesota companies, McGladrey & Pullen in St. Paul, Hutchinson Technology in Hutchinson, and Carlson Companies in Minneapolis. She holds a BA in Communications and an MBA in Human Resources from the University of Iowa.
Jay Dorenkamp – Chief Technology Officer
As chief technology officer, Jay Dorenkamp leads the technical development of Paisley's software and is responsible for managing the IT infrastructure. Jay has more than 17 years of software development experience in the high-tech industry. He joined Paisley from Riskclick, a business process automation service provider in the commercial insurance space, where he served as interim chief technology officer. Previously Jay was vice president of technology development for Lawson Software (NASDAQ:LWSN), a leading supplier of financial, human resources, supply chain and business intelligence applications, where he was responsible for the company's core technology platform and its evolution to J2EE-based standards. Prior to joining Lawson, Jay spent almost 14 years at IBM in various management and technical positions with responsibilities for software systems development and support on IBM's eServer systems. He has a master's degree in the management of technology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, Mass., and a bachelor's degree in computer engineering from Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa.
Michael J. Coughlin – Chief Financial Officer
Serving as the chief financial officer, Mike Coughlin is responsible for Paisley's financial organization. Mike has played a key role in establishing the company's banking, credit facilities, vendor management and invoicing and collection processes. Prior to joining Paisley, Mike held controller, corporate controller and CFO positions primarily with technology companies, some of which required SEC compliance. Most notably, he was the lead financial executive with Virtual University Enterprises, a global provider of certification testing for the leading technology companies, this company was acquired by Pearson PLC, (NYSE:PSO). Mike was with Ernst & Young, LLP for more than four years as a Certified Public Accountant. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minn.
Bruce McCuaig – Chief Risk Officer, Principal Consultant
Bruce McCuaig, chief risk officer at Paisley, has over 20 years experience in the field of risk and control management. As CRO, Bruce is responsible for directing an operational risk management program at Paisley as part of a company-wide effort to implement a top-down, risk-based approach to its own operations Bruce's role at Paisley also includes sharing Paisley's ORM experiences and innovations with clients seeking to implement risk-based approaches for their GRC initiatives and to drive improvements in their existing risk management processes. Prior to joining Paisley, Bruce held senior executive positions with the Gulf Canada Resources in Calgary and Toronto, and Gulf Oil Corporation in Houston, Texas. Bruce is an experienced speaker, presenter and award-winning author, participating regularly in international conferences on the subject of risk and control self-assessment and publishing in professional audit and financial journals. Bruce earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Windsor, in Windsor Ontario.
Caryne Kinne – Chief Operating Officer
As chief operating officer, Caryne Kinne is responsible for the strategic and tactical business operations of Paisley, including professional, technical and client services and quality assurance teams. Caryne joined Paisley in 1999 as the director of training and services where she built a world class team focused on ensuring successful implementations for the customer through solid training and partnering. Caryne holds a bachelor's degree in Business Education from Minnesota State University, Mankato, Minn., and a Masters of Arts in Business Education from New York University, New York, N.Y.
Ted Smith – Vice President, Global Sales
As vice president of global sales, Ted Smith is responsible for directing Paisley's worldwide sales strategies. He brings more than a decade of enterprise software sales management and leadership experience to Paisley. Most recently, Ted was the director of sales at HighJump Software, a 3M Company, during his tenure he led a team that posted record growth and catapulted HighJump to a leadership position in the supply chain execution market. Prior to joining HighJump, Ted was vice president sales and marketing for Active IQ Technologies. He also served as director of sales at supply chain management software leader Manugistics, where he was responsible for planning, executing and measuring a vertical sales structure and penetrating new geographies. Ted also held sales and management positions with Oracle and ADP. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from St. John's University, Collegeville, Minn.
Mike Rost – Vice President, Marketing
As vice president of marketing, Mike Rost is responsible for marketing and product management related activities at Paisley. Mike has more than 15 years of experience marketing and managing financial software applications and supporting accounting and finance business processes. He joined Paisley from Xiotech, a storage area network provider, where he led the marketing and product management efforts in the startup of a new compliance software division. Previously Mike held several management positions in a seven year career for Lawson Software (NASDAQ:LWSN), a leading supplier of financial, human resources, supply chain, and business intelligence applications. At Lawson, Mike held global responsibility for product strategy, product management, and product marketing for the Lawson application product portfolio. Prior to joining Lawson, Mike spent several years in a variety of accounting and financial management positions with Pillsbury and Rollerblade Inc. He received an MBA in marketing and finance and a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, Minn.
Kyle Gunderson – Vice President, Product Development
As vice president of product development at Paisley, Kyle Gunderson is responsible for all software product research, development, quality assurance and maintenance. Kyle brings more than 17 years of software product development and release experience to Paisley. Since joining Paisley in 2005, Kyle remains focused on applying best practices to deliver Paisley's industry leading governance, risk and compliance applications. Prior to Paisley, Kyle spent eight years at Lawson software (NASDAQ:LWSN), a leading supplier of financial, human resources, supply chain and business intelligence applications, where he served as technology development director for Lawson's enterprise technology components. Kyle holds bachelor's degree in applied mathematics/computer science from the University of Wisconsin-Stout, Menomonie, Wis.
Micheal Eicher – Vice President, Professional Services
As vice president of professional services, Micheal Eicher is responsible for the strategic vision and leadership of the professional services team at Paisley. Since joining Paisley in 2005, Micheal has been a driving force behind Paisley's commitment to streamlining, documenting and standardizing the software implementation and optimization processes and has been instrumental in the launch of the 45 day implementation guarantee. Before coming to Paisley, Micheal served as Vice President of Professional Services at ServiceWare where his leadership experience included enterprise wide implementation projects including sales force automation, knowledge management, financial applications, and risk management software implementations. In addition, Micheal has European, Asia and Middle East (EMEA) services leadership experience. Micheal holds bachelor degrees in computer science and biology, as well as a master's degree in physics from Texas Christian University, Fort Worth, Texas.
