The software's new user interface includes a menu bar function, widened tree views and document views, as well as upgraded fonts and colors for an enhanced user experience. In addition, for greater flexibility, FOCUS now provides the capability to define and configure the drop-down picklist fields, allowing organizations to personalize the field values based on their specific definitions.

To further increase productivity and workflow, additional new features include certification agreement enhancements, improved audit trail functionality, the ability to easily create assignments, as well as a variety of control test enhancements. To further aid in COSO control activities, FOCUS now allows users to document sample size during control testing and apply a unique certification agreement for signoff purposes. The new version of the software also includes additional audit trail functionality.
